Alex at 9 months

At his 9 months check-up, Alex weighed 19 lbs, which is only the 25th%, but his height was in the 85th% and his head circumference in the 90th%. The doctor wasn't very worried about the drop on the weight curve but he did suggest that I try to offer him more solid food.
I started giving him foods with more texture and I try to give him solid food three times a day and little snacks like Cheerios, the baby fruit and vegetable puffs and baby biscuits in between meals when he's in his high chair. I tried to teach him to drink from a bottle, so I can give him some water after his meals, but he won't take it so I might as well work on teaching him to drink from a sippy cup directly.
He doesn't know how to crawl because he hates being on his tummy but he scoots around on his bottom. He also likes to stand with help and take steps being held by the hands. He says "ba-ba-ba", "na-na-na", "ma-ma-ma" and more. Just before he turned 9 months he cut his first tooth and now he has two teeth.

Alex at 8 months

Alex turned 8 months on March 16th. His weight was 18lbs 12oz or 8500 gr.

Alex is wearing my old baby jacket. My uncle got this for me from Germany in '78 or '79. If my parents could find a picture of me wearing this and email it, I could post them side by side.

Alex is 7 months old

Weight: 18 lbs 3.5 oz or 8280 gr.
I've been giving him solid food for a month now but he still can't eat it well. He pushes the food out of his mouth with his tongue or keeps his mouth closed and refuses to eat. None of the other ones were that stubborn. He prefers to nurse day and night (especially during the night) and I'm worried that he won't get all the necessary nutrients from my milk alone, especially iron.

Alex is 6 month old

He weighs 17 lbs 6.5 oz or 7900 gr. At the same age Benedict was 17 lbs and Teddy 18 1/2 lbs. Teddy was the biggest because he was on formula from 3 mos and started solids at 4.5 mos.

I started Alex on baby rice cereal yesterday. He doesn't know what to do with them yet but he'll learn and once he gets a full meal of cereal, I will be able to, maybe, go out without him every once in a while.

Little Alex had an Emergency Room adventure on Christmas Eve. A day before, Teddy was holding him, when he slipped on the hardwood floors and even though he tried to protect the baby's head, Alex still hit his head on the floor. We thought everything was fine but after a very restless night, I discovered that the left side of his head was very swollen. We decided to not take any chances, so, while everyone else was preparing for dinner and presents (we open presents on Christmas Eve), I took Alex to the ER, where after 5 hours of waiting they told us that the CT scan showed no cranial fracture, just an accumulation of blood outside the skull. He is fine now but still cries when I dress/undress him and he gets touched on the head.

Alex's 4 months check up

15 lbs 11 oz or a little over 7 kg. (75th%), 26 in (90th %), head circ.in the 75th% .
Benedict at his 6 year check up weighed 50 lbs and was in the 90th % for both weight and height.
This info is more for me since I don't do baby books anymore but I want to keep track of their growth.
