Veritas Academy Conference and Raffle

Update:

There's a little addition to the schedule of the conference day (this Saturday). Father Ripperger will have a little talk for the children at 10:15am in the Kindergarten class.

On Saturday, February 17, 2007, Veritas Academy is hosting a conference by Fr. Chad Ripperger FSSP PhD, Professor of Dogmatic and Moral Theology & Philosophy at the FSSP Seminary of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Denton Nebraska.

Here is the schedule:

11:00am: Challenges of Living the Traditional Faith Today

1:00pm: Conflicts Facing Families and Corresponding Remedies.
Question and Answer session

The school is also selling raffle tickets to raise funds in order to prevent raising the tuition. There are 15 students and two teachers in the school. The childen are recieving a great academic and religious education but considering the fact that almost all families are single income, many parents would not be able to afford a higher tuition. For that reason, we have to have several fundraisers every year. This is one of them and it's actually a great one.

A total of 100 raffle tickets are being sold (each family sells 9 tickets). Each ticket costs $20. I know, it's alot, but here comes the good part: the winner takes home $1000 in cash. The other $1000 will be for the school. So for every raffle ticket bought, you have a 1% chance of winning $1000.

If anyone who reads this wants to buy one, that would be great. If we don't find any buyers, we'll buy ourselves all 9 tickets.

The drawing will be held after the conference on February 17.

Please let your local friends and family members know about the conference and the raffle tickets.

Also, the school is now accepting applications for children grades K-4th for the school year 2007-2008.

Here is the school's website with more information: Veritas Academy
The pics on the site are from last year, so you'll see Teddy and Tavis but not Benedict and Celsus.
